he G-SHOCK GWG-B1000TLC-1A is a limited edition Master of G Mudmaster created in collaboration with Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body (TLC), the team that has competed in the Dakar Rally every year since 1995. Built on the GWG-B1000 platform, this watch combines a high-precision forged metal exterior with a carbon fiber-reinforced bio-based resin case, delivering exceptional strength while keeping weight manageable at 114 grams. The design draws its inspiration from the grueling nighttime stages of the Dakar Rally. Black ion-plated metal components evoke driving through darkness, the urethane band features a printed sand dune texture representing the desert landscape, and the gold-toned band loop symbolizes moonlight over the vast desert. The dial incorporates red, blue, and yellow accents on the seconds hand and inset dial indicators, inspired by the multi-color navigation system displays inside TLC’s rally vehicles. Functionally, the watch is equipped with Casio’s Triple Sensor — a digital compass with 60-second continuous measurement, an altimeter covering −700 to 10,000 meters, a barometer with sudden pressure change alarm, and a thermometer. Tough Solar charging, Multi-Band 6 radio-controlled time calibration from five global transmitters, and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity via the CASIO WATCHES app ensure accurate timekeeping anywhere in the world. The Location Indicator feature allows the wearer to input a destination through the app, with the indicator hand at 3 o’clock pointing toward that location in real time — critical for navigation in low-visibility conditions such as sandstorms. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a high-brightness double LED Super Illuminator ensure readability in any environment. The watch is shock, mud, dust, and vibration resistant, featuring cylindrical stainless steel button guards, sealed gaskets, a screw-lock crown, and αGEL vibration-absorbing material integrated into the module.
